Proceeds from the tournaments go to the local AFA and AFCEA Chapter’s General Fund. The Langley Chapter AFA has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships, awards and grants to Langley AFB assigned personnel, family members and the local Air Force community. The Tidewater Chapter has awarded over $120,000 in Student Scholarships to deserving local students and local military personnel during the last eleven years. The scholarships are awarded to deserving students in communications, electronics, and computer sciences. This flyer solicits your support for this local charitable event. Your support can be in the form of goods, merchandise, gift certificates or coupons for distribution as door prizes. Also, Individual hole sponsorships, specialty event sponsorships (like Longest Drives for men and women and the closest to the pin Contests) and beverage cart sponsorships are available for donors who would like to advertise their business/enterprise on a large sign displayed at their hole or event. Beverage carts will carry the name of the sponsor providing the cart. All supporting sponsors and donors will be identified to participants and prominently noted on tournament literature. |
